Carol Jean Rhodeback, 79, of Granville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 in Columbus, her family was at her side. She was born on December 15, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Blanche (Slack) Myers. She attended school in Kirkersville and Watkins Memorial. A lifelong homemaker, she was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, caring for her yard, taking care of all animals and spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving family: her husband Jerry, whom she married on June 26, 1957, her children Wayne (Donna) Rhodeback of Sunbury, Mike (Patty) Rhodeback of Hebron, Barbara (Trea) Mikruta of Granville; her sister Dorothy Morace of Tempe, Arizona; grandchildren Tonya Bowles, Megan (Justin) Bebout, Sarah (Chris) Mauger, Robin Carr, Misty (Jim) Swinconis, Jerry White, Adrian (Kaitlyn) Rhodeback, Lindy Rock, Christian Rhodeback and Cody Mikruta; her 11 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Amy White, and her siblings Spencer, Carl, Thelma, Barbara and Evelyn. Honoring Carol’s wishes, a private celebration of her life will follow in the spring. She will be inurned in the Alexandria Cemetery. The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Drive, Heath, Ohio 43056.
