Carol Lynn Smith of Newark, passed away on May 8, 2024 with family by her side. She was born on January 15,1961 in Lancaster, Ohio to Paul and Donna (Weintritt) Miller. Lynn was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and compassionate nurse, who faced her battle against pancreatic cancer with incredible strength and courage.

Throughout her three-year fight, her unwavering determination and resilience inspired all who knew her. She cherished her family above all else and found joy in every moment spent with her husband of 31 years. Beyond her family, she had a passion for the Cleveland Browns and Guardians, cruising the Caribbean, bowling with friends, and basking in the sun on the beach. She also found great joy in exploring the culinary world, eagerly trying new restaurants and craft beers with an adventurous spirit and a discerning palate.

In her role in hospice care, Lynn provided compassion and dignity to those in their final moments, offering comfort and support to patients and their loved ones during times of profound sadness and loss. Her empathy and kindness served as a beacon of light in the darkest of times, bringing peace and comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
