A funeral service celebrating the life of Carolyn Sue Ricketts, 92, of Millersport, will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Millersport Methodist Church, 2310 Refugee St, Millersport, OH, with Pastor Steve Bush and Rev. Tony Peaks officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, two hours prior to the funeral service, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. She was born in Millersport, Ohio on June 19, 1931 to the late Isaac and Nellie (Reedy) Weldon. She passed away at the Pickering House in Lancaster on November 22, 2023. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, friend and was a devoted Christian. As a young girl, she enjoyed hanging out at her grandparent’s boat and rental business in Millersport, and the Crystal Ballroom at Buckeye Lake, dancing and cruising around with the gang. Some of Carolyn’s fondest memories also include attending the “Little White” EUB Church; and she also enjoyed meeting people and sharing her love for Christ. We celebrate Carolyn and her eternal life with Christ. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy (Ricketts) and Tim Ralston; daughter-in-law, Pamela (Hankison) Ricketts; grandchildren, Missy (Eric) Richards, Robert (Kim) Ralston, Kyle (Nicole) Ralston, Stacie (Mark) Graves, and Chad Whittington; great grandchildren, Kayla Ralston, Isaac Ralston, Adam Ralston, Nicolas Soto, Clarice Graves, Connor Joyner, Xander Sykes; and many special friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Van L. Ricketts; son, Roger “Skip” Ricketts; sister, Eileen Taylor; and brother, Roger Weldon. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carolyn to Fairhope Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the church.
