A funeral service, celebrating the life of Catherine Marianna Carroll, 80, of Thornville, will be held 1:00 PM at the Boring-Sheridan-Schoedinger funeral home,56 South Main St., Thornville on Monday, January 23, 2012 with Pastor John Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, New Lexington.Catherine passed awayThursday, January 19, 2012 at Autumn Healthcare Center, Somerset. She was born on September 20, 1931 to the late Hugh Lee and Jessie Mae McCoy Skidmore.Catherine was a member of Hopewell Methodist Church and loved flowers of all kinds especially the Iris.She is survived by her son, Dennis (Nadine) Carroll, Somerset and daughter, Donna Marie (Matthew) Selby, Thornville; sister, Ida Mae (Wayne) Russell, Newark; brothers-in-law, Warren (Dortha) Carroll, Glenford and Brady Lee (Louise) Carroll, Grafton, WV.; sisters-in-law, Barbara (William, dec.) Carroll, Graitot, Ruth (Everett) Carroll,Morgantown, W.V. and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel E.
