Catherine Susan Wofter

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Catherine Susan Wofter, age 69, of Mount Perry, will be held on Saturday January 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thornville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Wes Humble officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Ridge Cemetery. Cathy was born in Zanesville, Ohio on September 6, 1953 to the late Gerald A and Dorothy Jean (Stoltz) Helser. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in her sleep without incident or warning. Cathy had a great smile and sense of humor, she enjoyed gardening, reading, trips to Amish country, and her fur babies Zoe & Zac. She especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family and she will be missed by everyone that knew her. She is survived by her children, WIlliam (Jennifer Rene’) Helser and Sterling Wofter; grandchildren, Ruger Wofter, Dillon Helser, Isabel Helser, and Jackson Helser; siblings, Donna (Robert) Gorton, Steven A. Helser, Larry D. Helser, Gerald W. (Debbie) Helser, Michael E. (Tina) Helser, and Nancy M. McConnell; sister-in-law, Angel Helser; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Deborah Helser; brother, James Helser; sister-in-law, Linda Helser; and her beloved grandparents, Noel Amos and Mabel Ardella (Love) Stoltz. Family will receive friends at the funeral home, 56 S. Main Street, Thornville, on Friday January 13th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Cathy and her family.
