Cecil Nixon

December 28, 1932 — March 30, 2016

Cecil Eugene Nixon, 83, of Pataskala, passed away peacefully onWednesday evening, March 30, 2016, following an extended illness. He was born in Vivian, West Virginia, the son of the late Richard H. and Rachel E. (Barber) Nixon. Cecil worked in the coal mines in West Virginia, and then moved to central Ohio, where he worked construction with Turner Construction and Laborers Local #423. He enjoyed shooting pool and Camping with his family. He is survived by his loving family: wife Linda Kay Nixon, whom he married on July 21, 1990, but with whom he had lived for ten years prior to their marriage; son Cecil (Renee) Nixon Jr. of Titusville, Florida, his two sisters Jean (Rajah) Grady and Dorothy Jones, grandchildren Jeffrey Sargus and Melissa Sargus Humphrey, and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Gary Nixon, step-son Eric Webster, brother Henry Nixon and Sister Martha Nixon Card. Honoring Cecils wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services at this time.
