Charles "Chuckie" Daniel Cook

February 5, 1982 — October 4, 2024

Memorial services for Charles D. “Chuckie” Cook, 42, of Thornville will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. in the chapel of the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 South Main St. in Thornville, with Pastor Jill Dunlap as celebrant.

Chuckie passed away quite unexpectedly on Friday October 4, 2024. He was born February 5, 1982, in Columbus, the son of Charles M. and Kathy Lynn (Kidwell) Mohler. He was a graduate of Bloom Carroll H.S. and The Fairfield Career Center, class of 2000.  He was employed as IT Manager at American Signature.

Family was everything to Chuckie, and he spent every moment he could with them, and for them. With a Career in IT, he was their go-to guy for all things Tech. With a mind of an engineer, he was their go-to for any, and all, projects around the house. He had a passion for making motors crank, leaving them wondering where they’ll go for repairs and advice on their boats, their cars, their quads, all their appliances and everything else. He was the hunter they went to for advice. He was the one who fixed the kids fishing line and baited their hook. The amount of people asking themselves “what do we do now” is staggering. Not just that they’ll miss him, but that they relied so heavily on him…Not the least of which are his wife and 2 boys. His life revolved around theirs and evolved with theirs. He was the dad every boy wants to have. He built them a treehouse, installed a swimming pool and deck out back. He got them dogs, showing his boys how to raise them, how to love them. He bought RVs and trailers for the ATVs and dirt bikes; traveled around the state and around the country, giving his family an amazing life, full of amazing memories. He did everything a dad is supposed to do, including teaching them how to do it on their own... And they’re ready. For whatever reason, he was shorted time, but he made the most of it; and he’s prepared them for this. He did his job; he can rest easy.

On October 2, 2006, he married Erin Mulcahy, and they have two sons Wyatt and Mason. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Willie (Kirsten) Cook and their children Bailey and Nilas; his sister Lori (Matt) Mathias and their children Matilyn and Anna; his sisters and brothers-in-law Katie (Shaun) Hochradel and their children Dylan and Payton; Ryan (Amy) Mulcahy and their children Brennan and Cole; Steven (Heather) Mulcahy and their children Graham and Garrett; Colleen Sites and her children Caroline, Hunter and Jack; along with his mother-in-law Debbie Mulcahy and maternal grandfather Dan (Mary) Kidwell; his uncle Jeff Kidwell and aunt Lou Ann McCord.

Chuckie was preceded in death by his father-in-law Tom Mulcahy and his brother-in-law George Sites, in addition to his maternal grandmother Nancy (Kidwell) Reid, paternal grandparents Raymond and Della Cook.

Chuckie shared the gift of life with organ donation. Please consider memorial contributions in Chuckie’s memory to Lifeline of Ohio [email protected]
