Charles "Coletrain" Cole

A memorial service, to celebrate the life of Charles Lee Coletrain Cole, age 88, of Newark, will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Rocky Fork Cemetery.Charles was born in Pataskala, Ohio on March 5, 1927 to the late Cleon and Pauline (Smith) Cole. He passed away at Flint Ridge Nursing Home on December 20, 2015.He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Prior to retirement, he was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed square dancing, antiquing, farming and spending time with his grandchildren.Survivors include two sons, Jerry Cole and Gary Cole; daughter, Jeanne Cole; sister, Milly Shaffer; step-daughter, Heather (Joe) McClain; grandchildren, Joey McClain and Summer McClain; niece, Rise Shaffer Gordon; and nephew, Rudy Shaffer.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Dean Cole.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Charles to Generation Hospice,1435A West Main Street, Newark, Ohio 43055Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for the Cole family.
