Charles Richard Durant

A funeral service for Charles Richard Durant, age 82, of Leesburg, Florida, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Gus Andrews officiating. Interment will follow at Union Evangelical Cemetery in Baltimore.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, August 1 ^st , at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.

Charles Durant was born December 6, 1938 in Licking County, Ohio to the late Loren and Mabel (Mathias) Durant. He passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the Cornerstone Hospice House in The Villages, Florida.  His home was in Hawthorne of Leesburg, Florida. He was long retired in his work as a carpet installer.

Charles is survived by his children, Debby (Steve) Riordan of Las Colinas, Texas, Mark (Tammie Angelo) Durant of Kirkersville, Linda (Larry) Williams, Cathy (Ken) Iden, and John (Gayla) Bowermaster of St. Louisville; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren, with an additional great grandchild expected this fall; and sister, Donna (Kenny) Keeran of Phoenix, Arizona.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Durant; daughter, Kelly Shorter; first wife, Judith Bowermaster; and second wife, Fran Durant.
