Charles W. Glaize, Jr.

A graveside funeral service celebrating the life of Charles W. Glaize, Jr., 73 of Millersport, will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Millersport Cemetery, Millersport. Visitation will be held at the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main Street, Thornville, on Sunday, March 7th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, masks must be worn inside the funeral home and for your protection, a maximum of 30 guests will be allowed inside at one time. Please practice social distancing. Charles was born in Millersport, Ohio on July 20, 1947 to the late Charles W. Sr. and Normagene (Thompson) Glaize. He passed away at Fairfield Medical Center on March 2, 2021. Prior to retirement, he was an installation and repairman with AT & T for 44 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Millersport; Amvets #51 in Thornport; Buckeye Lake VFW; and Buckeye Lake Eagles. He enjoyed collecting and restoring old phones, yard work, boating, gardening and helping anyone in need. Most important was the time he spent with his loving family and friends and he will be missed by everyone that knew him. Survivors include his loving wife, Dixie (Terry) Glaize, whom he married June 24, 2000; children, Dale (Heather) Glaize, Gretchen Glaize, Deanna (Derrick) Blaine, Zac (Jenny) Glaize, Tyla (Doug) Marcum, Rodney (Holly) Vance and Crystal (Jeff) Massie; sisters, Patty (Roger) Freeman, Barbara (Bob) Klingler, Nancy (Bill) Bevington and Susan (Adam Moss) Glaize; brothers, Bobby (Monique) Glaize and Dale (Brenda) Mitchell; loving dog, Lexie; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
