A memorial service celebrating the life of Charles K. Charlie Foster, Jr., age 82, of Heath, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. John D. Stroup and Rev. William J. Rauch officiating. Inurnment will take place in Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday in Danford Hall at St. Pauls.Charlie was born September 13, 1933 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Charles K. Foster, Sr. and Ivanore (Fisher) Foster. He passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation-Newark.A 1951 graduate of Wheeling High School, Charlie was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Owens Corning Science and Technology Center in Granville where he had worked in engineering. Charlie was a faithful member of St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church and served on the church council, Four Church Farm Committee and the Rental Property Committee. He was also a member of the Newark Maennerchor and was an avid sports fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Charlie was a loving husband and father and was a doting grandfather.He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen Kerrill (Adlam) Foster, whom he married January 24, 1954; daughter, Kerrill Ann Foster of Heath; sons and daughters-in-law, David T. (Bonnie) Foster of Indianapolis, IN and Thomas Michael (Ann Robertson) Foster, Ph.D. of Edwardsville, IL; grandchildren, Abigail Lynn Spear of Columbus, Elizabeth Kerrill Foster and Heather Nicole Foster, both of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Roger A. (Audrey) Foster, and sister, Beverly A. McClain, all of Wheeling, WV; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert H. Foster; and a sister, Sarah E.
