Charles "Steve" Lyle

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Charles Steven “Steve” Lyle, 64, of Thornville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in the chapel of The Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with burial to follow in the Olivet Cemetery. Steve passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 in Zanesville. He was born February 10, 1958 in Lancaster, the son of the late Lois and Charles Lyle. He attended Sheridan High School, and worked for many years at the Albyn Nursery in Newark. He enjoyed tractors, drag racing and NASCAR. He is survived by his family: his wife Sue Miller Lyle, whom he married on August 21. 2019, his son Doug Lyle, step sons Jason (Tara) Miller and Joe (Shelley) Miller; sisters Peggy (Don) Blauser, Cathie (Charles) Coker; his grandsons Mason, Preston and Reese; nieces and nephews Leann, Jamie, Adam and Amy. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, August 29, 2022 from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home, 56. South Main St. in Thornville. The family requests that memorial contributions in his memory be directed to American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
