Charles W. Monnett, 78, of Heath, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016, following an extended illness. Chuck was born December 22, 1937, in Basil, (Fairfield County, Ohio) the son of the late Harry F. and Clara P. (Keller) Monnett. He was a graduate of Newark High School, class of 1956, and worked for Roper in Newark and then being transferred with General Electric to Georgia for over 40 years. He enjoyed softball, and had worked as an umpire in the Licking County League for 15 years since his retirement. He is survived by his loving family: wife Pat of Heath, daughters: Janie (Gary) Wright of Georgia, Debbie Stiles of Tennessee and Susan Sweat; son: Troy (Stephanie) Lewis of Georgia; his brothers Kenny Monnett of Columbus and Jim (Sig) Monnett of South Carolina; 7 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
