Charles Russell

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Charles Russell, 86, of Etna, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018, in the Chapel of Newark Memorial Gardens, burial with full military honors by AMVETS Post #51, Thornport, to follow at the gravesite. Charles passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, following an extended illness. He was born April 3, 1932, in South Williamson, Kentucky; the son of the late Charles and Mary (Young) Russell Tilly. He served honorably in the US Army during the Korean conflict, and was a long time member of AMVETS Post #51, Thornport. He is survived by his loving family: Debbie (Jack) Straight of Columbus, Gary Russell of Columbus, Diana (Don) Perry of Etna, Charles Russell of Etna, Julie (Dave) Moriaty of Columbus, Donna (Werner)Rase of Pataskala; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Geneva Russell in 1986, son Johnny Russell in 2013, his two brothers and his three sisters. The family will receive friends at the chapel at Newark Memorial Gardens on Monday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 2:00 p.m.
