Charles William "Bill" K'Miller

A funeral service celebrating the life of Charles William “Bill” K’Miller, 85, of Thornville, will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Doug Lynn officiating. Burial will follow in Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, where military honors will be observed. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 56 S. Main Street, Thornville, one hour prior to the funeral service, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Bill was born in Hocking County, Ohio on October 2, 1935 to the late Russell and Hazel (Houston) K’Miller. He passed away at Fairhope Hospice Pickering House in Lancaster on September 25, 2021. Bill proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, he was a flight engineer with the Air Force for nearly 30 years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Thornville; former member of the Air Force Sergeants Association; member of the Thornville American Legion; and he enjoyed watching birds and loved sharing stories about the Air Force and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia Sue “Pat” (Boring) K’Miller, whom he married October 4, 1957; children, Jim K’Miller, Becky K’Miller and Ron (Karen) K’Miller; siblings, Mary Finney, John (Joanne) K’Miller and Carolyn Bush; grandchildren, Ken Richardson, Sara (Ethan) Pattison, Jack K’Miller and Ava K’Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Mowrey and Esther Frost. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bill to South Shores Ministries or to the Thornville American Legion. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
