Charles Oliver “Charlie” Tisdale, 76, of Heath, passed on, Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at OSU East Medical Center. He was born May 2, 1946, in Newark to the late Charles (Chuck) and Mary Jane (Hoskinson) Tisdale. Charlie graduated from Lakewood High School class of 1965. Charlie later attended college at Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He retired from Nokia after nearly 30 years of work. In retirement, Charlie earned his auctioneers license and worked as an auctioneer for the past 12 years. He was a volunteer fireman and EMT for the Hebron Fire department and a member of the Hebron American Legion. Charlie enjoyed helping others, collecting antiques and hunting for treasures. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley; sons, Charles Jr., and Shawn (Julie) Tisdale; grandchildren, Chase, Spencer, and Tyler; cousins, Donard (Loretta) Myers and daughter Melissa, Carol Kitzmiller, and Evelyn Blanton; 2nd cousin, his dog, Molly; and pet bird, Beakie. Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion, 108 Waters Edge, Hebron, OH 43025 and/or Tunnel to Towers foundation (tunneltotowers.com) for disabled veterans.
