Charlotte A. Crandall

Charlotte A. Crandall, 73, of Newark, passed away on October 8, 2021 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in New Lexington, Ohio on September 25, 1948 to the late Roland D. and Alice Mary (Hillshafer) Solt Prior to retirement, she was an insurance underwriter with MedBen for over 25 years. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, going to the beach, was an animal lover, an avid reader and was an adventurous foodie. Survivors include her children, Robert D. (Julie) Crandall and Jennifer A. (Steven) Starr; sisters, Jane L. (David) Galbraith and Barbara (Todd) Carmel; grandchildren, Sarah (Barry) Reeves and Matthew (Katie) Crandall; special nieces and nephew, Patty (John) Durbin, Grace Carmel and James (Jennifer) Galbraith; and numerous other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Crandall in 1992. A private graveside service will be held for the family. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Charlotte to Hospice of Central Ohio or the Licking County Humane Society.
