Christian Micheal Ruda

A funeral service celebrating the life of Christian Micheal Ruda, age 18, of Buckeye Lake, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 16, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.Christian was born July 21, 1998 in Newark, Ohio. He passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.Christian was a 2016 graduate of Lakewood High School and had formerly attended Newark High School for two years where he was active in ROTC. He was employed with JELD-WEN in Etna and Donatos Pizza in Buckeye Lake. Christian enjoyed fishing, camping and mud running. He was an avid Star Wars fan and was also a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhart, Jr. Christian was known for his great sense of humor and always making everybody smile.He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Fiest (Tim Kerr) of Buckeye Lake; father, Timothy Ruda of Columbus; sister, Brittany Kerr of Buckeye Lake; maternal grandparents, Cindy and Don Fiest of Newark; paternal grandparents, John and Pam Ruda of Columbus; uncle, John (Stephany) Fiest of Newark; aunts, Lisa Ruda of Reynoldsburg and Judy Starkey of Columbus; cousins, Cheyenne and Rebecca Fiest, as well as several other cousins; and great-aunts and great-uncles.He was preceded in death by an aunt, Candice Marie Fiest.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Christian and his family.
