A funeral service celebrating the life of Christine M. Cline, 65 of Newark, will be on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Jeff Hawkins officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, two hours prior to the funeral service on Friday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, masks must be worn inside the funeral home and please practice social distancing. Christine was born in Newark, Ohio on September 11, 1955 to the late Emmett “Jake” and Mary (Zimmerman) Myers. She passed away at her residence on April 20th while surrounded by her family. She was a devoted homemaker to her family, and prior to retirement, Christine was a school bus driver with North Fork School District for many years. She enjoyed bowling, camping, playing softball and traveling to the casinos. Most important in her life was the time she spent with her loving family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Ricky A. Cline, whom she married November 17, 1978; daughter, Darcy (Jason) Nethers; son, George (Mindi Marmet) Cline; grandchildren, Savannah Patterson, Eric Nethers, Emily Nethers and Wendell Cline; sisters, Marylou (Homer) Ashcraft, Ellen (Charles) Rey Karen (Bill) Hartshorn, and Beverly Sheets; mother-in-law, Betty Cline; sisters-in-law, Linda Sturm, Sue (Bill) McLaughlin and Deb Myers; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Ron Williams; brother, James Myers; brother-in-law, Waldo Sturm; and father-in-law, Wendell Cline. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Christine to Hospice of Central Ohio. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
