Christine Sue Schreck

A memorial service celebrating the life of Christine Sue Schreck Simcoe, age 62, of Hebron, Ohio, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Mike Roddy officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville. A family burial will be held on Saturday, April 23, at Fairview Cemetery in Galion. Chris was born June 7, 1953 in Norfolk, Virginia to Ted and Ann (Clark) Schreck, who survive. She passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at her home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Chris was a 1971 graduate of Galion High School and a 1982 graduate of The Ohio State University. She was employed with Daifuku America Corporation in Reynoldsburg for the past 27 years where she was corporate auditor. Chris and her husband Rick loved the outdoors and, when time permitted, could be found out on their boat or riding on their motorcycle. She was a great cook, had beautiful flower gardens and spent days working in them. She also loved her cats and a stray onealways seemed to be waiting at her door to be rescued. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Rick Simcoe, whom she married September 20, 2001; brothers, John (Dorothy) Schreck and Scott (Carrie) Schreck; nephews, Clark (Rachel) Schreck, Corey (Tiffany) Schreck, Jack Tremaine, Nick (Mandy) Tremaine, Drew, Luke, and Zane Schreck; several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; and her very dear friends, Dawn Moss and Chuck Dellario.She was preceded in death by her sister, Shellie Schreck Dials.
