A funeral service celebrating the life of Christopher Lloyd Myers, Sr., age 47, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, at Crossroads Christian Church, 11784 Marne Road, Newark, with Pastor Cory Campbell officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Chris was born July 25, 1970 in Auburn, Washington to Donald Edward Myers, Jr. and Donaldeen Fleming of Ringgold, Georgia. He passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2018. Chris was the owner of Above All Trim and Punch and was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. He was a tattoo artist and enjoyed camping, woodworking, drawing and breakdancing. His number one love was his wife and children. In addition to his mother, Donnie, he is survived by his wife, Peggy Jean (Swick) Myers, whom he married September 23, 2010; four children, Jillyan D. Myers and Madison Shirley Marie Myers, both of Vista, California, and Hailey J. Myers and Christopher L. Myers, Jr., both of Newark; step-children, Kirstjen E. DeLaSierra and Tyler D. McDonald, both of Oceanside, California; four grandchildren; sister, Lynda M. Thornburg (Roger Jones) of Ottumwa, Iowa; brothers, Kelly (Pamela) Bilbrey and Dan (Theresa) Bilbrey of Ringgold, Georgia; mother-in-law, Clara Swick of Nashport; uncle, Chris (Josephine) Carson of Sierra Vista, Arizona; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carrie & Walt Collins of Nashport and Larry & Mary Swick of Newark; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.He was preceded in death by his step-father, Alan Clement Esty; brother, Richard Dennis Myers; grandparents, Helen and John Bourget and Donald Dwain Fleming; father-in-law, Larry Swick, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Kandy Foster.
