Clarence Edward Griffith, 72, of Blacklick, died on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at his home. He was born on April 17, 1942 in Honaker, Virginia, son of the late Shade and Myrtie (Hess) Griffith. Clarence retired from Ross Laboratories after 32 years of service, and was currently working at Nationwide Arena. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed working security at the Columbus Blue Jacket games.He is survived by his loving family: wife of 52 years, Shirley Jean Griffith; two children, Jan Foltz and Mike (Kay) Griffith; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Silas (Betty), Robert (Pat), and Birchard (Louise) Griffith; one sister, Judy Bailey; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Pam Morgan; great-grandson, Jaxon; as well as two sisters, Sarah Barton and Maudi Bell Street.Friends may call on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E. Main St., where a funeral service celebrating Clarences life will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor John Meade officiating.
