A memorial gathering celebrating the life of Clarence William Arter, Jr., age 68, of Buckeye Lake, fondly known as Bill and Perkins to many, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, at the Buckeye Lake Youth Association, 140 West Third Street, Buckeye Lake, with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating.Bill was born June 26, 1947 in Newark, Ohio to the late Clarence William Arter, Sr. and Ruth Evelyn (Trost) Arter. He passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his home.Bill had been employed with Newark Healthcare and Best Western. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, OSU Buckeyes, Wrestling and Duck Dynasty.He is survived by his fiance, Susan M. Haught of Newark; children, Michael Turner of Newark, Wanda (Gerald) Rine of Thornville,Bill (Heidi) Arter of Newark, Peggy (John F.) Stiltner and Donnie Miller, all of Buckeye Lake; grandchildren, Kevin Hanby, Tiffany Strohm, Summer Nelson,Tiffany Wilson, Ashlie Wilson, Timothy Wilson, Justin Turner, Sean Arter, William Arter, Taylor Sage, Bradley Arter, Donnie Miller and Cody Miller; brother, Michael (Ellen) Arter of Newark; sisters-in-law, Joyce Bowman of Buckeye Lake and Vicki Turner of Hebron; brother-in-law, Eddie (Nancy) Turner of Hebron; nieces and nephews; special friend, Chuckie Craig; and special cat, Daisy.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Rodney Trost and Terrence Lee Arter; and brother-in-law, Tommy Turner.The family requests that contributions be made to Hoskinson Funeral Home, P.O.
