A graveside funeral service, celebrating the life of Clarence Albert Wilson, 92, of Thornville will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairmount Cemetery. Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Clarence was born in New Lexington, Ohio on April 28, 1929 to the late Albert John and Nora Belle (Guinsler) Wilson. He passed away at Altercare of Thornville on May 23, 2021. Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, Clarence was a manager with BP Oil for over 35 years. He was a member of Jacksontown United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking and was a dog lover. Most important was the time he spent with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. Survivors include his children, David (Veronica) Wilson, Shirley (Jeffrey) Spellman and Marilyn Davis; grandchildren, Bobby (Goldie) Wilson, Jason (Jenni) Wilson, Deeanndra Davis, Donny Spellman and John Spellman; great grandchildren, Ryan Wilson, Hayden Wilson, Hunter Wilson, Kaiden Spellman and James Spellman; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Verna “Delorse” (Kuykendall) Wilson in 1997; grandson, Chad Albert Castle; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Ruth Wilson; sister, Laura Wilson; and son-in-law, Mike Davis.
