Claudine Bitting

A graveside funeral service, celebrating the life of Claudine Bitting, 65, of Newark, will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Newark Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Randall Williams officiating. Claudine was born in Newark, Ohio on March 18, 1958 to the late Claude and Kathryn (Owens) Bitting. She passed away at her residence on March 11, 2024. Claudine was an examiner specialist with the State of Ohio for many years. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, was very competitive in playing scrabble and enjoyed listening to music. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her sister, Brenda Owens; aunt, Shirley Owens; nephews, Antwan T. (Kim) Spivey, Sean C. (Carley) Spivey and Brenden M. Spivey; cousins, Frances Owens, Wilbert Owens Jr. and Victoria Owens; great nieces and nephews, Lakailah Spivey, Jaycie Spivey, Brynlee Spivey and Jackson Manning; and a host of other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Zelinda Owens.
