Clayton A. Bittinger, 89, of Millersport, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born on August 4, 1924 in Springs, PA, son of the late Elmer and Bertha (Folk) Bittinger. Clayton was a Merchant Marine, having served his Country from 1942 to 1945. He retired from Rockwell International after 30 years of service. He was an avid gardener and a member of the F&AM Alturas lodge #537 in Millersport. He is survived by his family: wife, Norma, whom he married on January 12, 1950; his daughter-in-law, Judy Bittinger; one granddaughter and one great-grandson; as well as several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Bittinger; five sisters: Elizabeth Weimer, Minnie Weimer, Viola NyHart, Eileen Mort, and Laura Brown; and one brother, Raymond Bittinger.
