A funeral service, celebrating the life of Cletus W. Haubiel, 76, of Pickerington, will be held at 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Matt Thomas as celebrant. Burial will follow at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus.Clet died suddenly on Sunday evening, June 15, 2014 at his home. He was born April 26, 1938 in Columbus, the son of the late Charles W. and Iva B. (Raines) Haubiel. He was a graduate of Columbus South H.S., class of 1956, served honorably in the US Air Force, and was retired from Union Local 683, I.B.E.W., where he was a 55 year member. He also enjoyed farming and was a member of the Canal Winchester young farmers, S.W. Licking Agrarian Club, Pickerington Moose Lodge and NRA life member.An avid sportsman, he bagged his first Moose in 2012. He was also a devoted family man, husband to Judy for 30 years, and loving grandfather.He is survived by his wife Judy, son Charles (Michelle) Haubiel, daughter Alisa Morera, son-in-law Paco Morera, grandchildren Caleb, Lexi and Lili. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Betty Jean Haubiel.Friends may call at the funeral home, 285 E Main St. in Kirkersville on Wednesday evening, from 6-8:00 p.m. where services will follow at 8:00 p.m.The family prefers memorials directed to the American Heart Association.
