Cletus Sorg

A Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Cletus Sorg, age 83, of Hebron, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 5133 Walnut Road, Buckeye Lake,with the Rev. JCP Sullivian as celebrant. Burial with full military honors will follow at Kirkersville Cemetery.Clete died late Friday evening, January 9, 2015 in Newark following a period of declining health. He was born August 4, 1931 in Summerfield, Ohio, the son of the late Francis and Marie (Noll) Sorg. He was retired from Lucent Technologies after many years of service. He served honorably in the United StatesAir Force during the Korean conflict.He was an active member of Hebron American Legion Post and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church at Buckeye Lake.He is survived by his loving family: wife Donna, whom he married on August 23, 1952; son, Greg (Jennifer) Sorg; daughters, Bridget (Jeff) Mills and Lisa (Ty) Yoho; grandchildren, Tyler (Leslie) Mills, Kelley and Raquel Sorg (Devin Moore) and Seth and Ondrea Yoho; great-grandchildren, Walker Mills and Lenox Moore; sisters, Gerry Hannahs, Lucille Vaughn, Freda Lasure and Ginny (Roy) Nutt; brother, Ray (Jan) Sorg; brother-in-law, Robert Cochran; aunt, Mabel Potts; many nieces and nephewsalong with extended family at the Sunset Inn Restaurant in Hebron.In addition to his parents, his sister Mary Lou Cochran has preceded him in death.Friends may call on Tuesday January 13, 2015, from 2-4 & 6-8- p.m. at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, 285 E Main Street in Kirkersville.Memorials may be directed to the Hebron Post 285 of the American Legion, P.O.
