Clifford Van Dyke

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Clifford F. Van Dyke, 82, of Millersport, will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Kirkersville Home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with his grandson Deacon Charlie Landis as celebrant. Cliff died on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in Lancaster, following a brief illness. He was born February 17, 1934 in Madison, Ohio, the son of the late Carroll and Martha (Fuller) Van Dyke. He was a graduate of OSU Agricultural College and was a farmer and Agricultural salesman, retiring from Plating Technology in Columbus after 8 years of service. He served honorably in the US Army, during the Korean conflict. He enjoyed gardening, canning and western square dancing. He was one of the founders, who began the country swingers square dance club in Fairfield Co. in the 1970s. He was a member of the Narrow Road Church in Heath. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann (Veley) to whom he was married for 59 years, son Brad Van Dyke, daughters Regina (David) Krueger and Laura (Thomas) Landis; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Carroll and Donald Van Dyke and his sister Loretta Gerwin. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, June 24, 2016 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 E Main St. in Kirkersville.
