Cora Ellen Shelly

A funeral service celebrating the life of Cora Ellen Shelly, age 92, of Thornville, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, at Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Bill Beard officiating. Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 56 South Main Street, Thornville. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Lutheran Reformed Cemetery.Cora was born July 11, 1923 in Oceana, West Virginia to the late Bea and Margaret (Cook) Rollins. She passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Somerset Health and Rehabilitation Center.Cora was a homemaker and a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Glenford. She loved to crochet and sew.She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Russ Wallace of Pleasantville; six grandchildren, Paul, Russell and Jetta Yarger, Gary, Steven and David Ford; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Annilee Rollins and Jeffrey Rollins.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Grubb Shelly, on May 9, 2002; sisters, Ruth Rollins and Clarice Brown; and brothers, Gene and Thomas Rollins.Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215.Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to care for Cora and her family.
