Corey Marshall Young

A funeral service celebrating the life of Corey Marshall Young, 30, of New Albany, will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street; Kirkersville, on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Corey was born on December 30, 1990 in Columbus, Ohio to Kimberly (Carter) Young and Thomas Young. He passed away at his residence on November 21, 2021. In addition to his parents, survivors include his brother Brett Young. His girlfriend Emily Ginem. Maternal Grandmother, Nancy Carter, Aunts & Uncles: Tammy (Terry) Erwin, John (Stacey) Carter, Eric (Jennifer) Carter, Jeff (Gina) Young, Don (Tammy) Young. Several cousins and second cousins. Special family & friends: Karen, Devin, Dalton, Dylan Adkins, Jacob & Eric Weersing. Bonus brother Joe Ginem. Pop-Pop Erwin, Diane (Mike) Max Doh. Loving Pets: Petey & Lewie. Corey is preceded in death by his Papa Carter, Grandma Jo & Pop Pop Fowler, Grandma Paula, Great Granny & Grandpa Moore. Corey had a smile & personality that would light up any room. Corey enjoyed so many things, but among his favorite things was spending time with his “person” Emily of 6 ½ years, she meant everything to him. He loved spending time with his fur boys, Petey & Lewie. He enjoyed traveling with Emily and had an especially great time when his brother traveled to Tennessee with them where they went hiking and zip lining. He enjoyed watching movies, riding quads, kayaking, and loved road trips with Dalton. Corey had a special bond with his uncle Terry. He enjoyed helping him cut grass, watching football, and viewing funny videos of other family members that Uncle Terry made without their knowledge. Corey loved the color blue and preferred not to dress fancy, please wear something country casual and blue.
