Corliss Diane Franklin

Corliss Diane Franklin (Scott), age 77, passed away peacefully December 17, 2023, after a hard battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born September 15, 1946, to Harold Rodney Scott and Pearl Louise (Shivna) Scott in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania. She was a 1964 graduate of St. Clairsville High School. Known for her love of animals, she fed and cared for numerous strays over her 54 years living in her home near Buckeye Lake. She loved shopping, bakeries, baking, reading and collecting recipes. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William C. Franklin; daughters Denice (Jeff) Mock and Roxane (Carl) Starkey; grandchildren Kevin (fiance’ Lilly) Cotterman and Amy (Kile) Channel; great grandchildren Elizabeth and Dennis Channel. She had several nieces and nephews. She has one surviving sister, Allison Marjenin. She is preceded in death by her twin brother Stephen Douglas Scott, brother Harold R. (Sonny) Scott and her parents. She was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness of the Millersport Congregation. Honoring her wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to your local animal shelter. She often found comfort in the scripture at Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, nor will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
