David William Moody

David William (Dave) Moody, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather passed on to heaven peacefully on 4/4/2022 surrounded by family.

Dave met the love of his life Connie while working together; they were happily married for 14 years. David was father to Todd (Lolly) Moody, Jill (Tim) Stegall and Justin (Bridget) Moody. Combined they have 5 children, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and his beloved cat companion, Sally B.

David was raised in Pickaway County by parents Rachel and James at the family farm with siblings Rojer & Cathy. David graduated from Walnut Township High School. He attended Franklin University and the Ohio State University where he became an avid Buckeye football and basketball fan. David also attended Hopewell U. M. Church and always loved going back and supporting the pancake and bean suppers.

David is an honored veteran of the U.S. Army, 7th Cavalry. He was stationed in Monterey, CA and Amberg, Germany.

He was successful in a variety of pursuits including butcher, restaurateur, realtor and pharmaceutical returns. He also loved collecting and selling antiques and was an avid history buff.

David and Connie attended Newark Nazarene Church.

Calling will be Sunday April 10th from 2pm-5pm and Monday April 11th from 10am-11am with services at 11am, graveside military services immediately following. Services at Hoskinson Funeral Home - 285 E. Main Street Kirkersville, OH 43033 and Kirkersville Cemetery.
