Daniel "Dan" Herbert Schilling

A memorial service celebrating the life of Daniel Herbert “Dan” Schilling, 66 of Hebron, will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, two hours prior to the funeral service on Thursday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Dan was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 20, 1956 to the late Herbert J. and Marilyn (Siefert) Schilling. He passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on February 9, 2023. Prior to retirement, Dan was the owner/operator of Dan’s Heating and Cooling. He was a member of the Buckeye Lake Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed traveling, camping, boating and spending time with his family and friends. Dan had a great sense of humor, had a humble soul, loved everyone that he met and often punctuated his sentences with the phrase, “By Golly!” Dan will be missed by everyone that knew him. Survivors include his siblings, Stephen (Connie) Schilling, Karen (Brian) Joseph, Mike (Bobbie) Schilling, Greg (Terri) Schilling, Robert Schilling and Jeff (Rachael) Schilling; special friends, Barb (Brett) Perry, John Curtis (Amanda) Ward, Heath Byer and Brian Brewer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Schilling. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Dan and the Schilling family.
