Danny L. Queen, Sr.

A graveside funeral service, to celebrate the life of Danny L. Queen, Sr., age 71, of Newark, will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Newark Memorial Gardens, with Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating.Danny was born in Logan, WV on June 9, 1944 to the late Hansford and Beatrice (Johnson) Queen. He passed away at his residence on December 6, 2015.Prior to retirement, Danny was a forklift operator at Owens Corning Fiberglas for many years. He enjoyed walking and playing softball. Danny had an uplifting personality and would do anything to help someone in need.Survivors include his children, Danny L. Queen, Jr., Stephen (Dixie) Queen and Mickey (Cory) Queen; wife, Susan (Maxson) Queen; sister, Dee (Lee) Patterson; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Patty Queen and Nadine Queen; brothers, Roger Queen, Casey Queen, Paul Queen, Mickey Queen and Colin Queen; and special friend, Patty Patterson.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Danny and the Queen family.
