Darah D Peck

Darah Peck, 71, of Pataskala, OH passed away surrounded by loved ones on November 29th, 2022, at St. Ann’s Mt. Carmel Hospital. She was a fighter to the very end. Truly a remarkable wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was loving, giving, caring, loved, and adored by so many.

Darah was born on March 5th, 1951, in Newark, OH. Darah was a very hard worker over the years and her primary career was in factory work. She worked for Bell Labs/Western Electric/AT&T, Tremco and then retired from Lucent. She met her husband David Peck while working for Western Electric in 1980, they later married in 1984 and were married for over 38 years.

Darah had a love for kitties, having adopted several over the years. Her first kitty Heidi girl Peck was her favorite and was certainly part of our family. She was quite the character and mom just adored her. Her remaining fur babies Zoe, Gabby and Rooey will miss her dearly!

Darah loved to spend time with family and friends hosting and attending many parties over the years. She was quite the hostess and enjoyed having many functions from holiday parties, birthdays and card parties. She was an excellent cook and made many of our favorite dishes over the years. Darah also, loved going on girls trips and was certainly the life of the party.

Later in life, Darah enjoyed gambling and going to casinos where she’d play the slots. She loved taking trips to Vegas, Belterra, Scioto Downs and Hollywood. Although she loved playing the slots it was time spent with family and friends that she loved the most.

Darah is survived by her husband David Peck of Pataskala; sons, Ken Slone of Westerville, Corey and Scott (Jenni) Peck of Johnstown; sister Peggy Hudson of Columbus; grandchildren Ryan and Lindsey Slone; Cliff, Morgan and Allison Peck; nieces Pamela (Michael Sr) Flowers, Karen Dee, Ginny DeAngelo-Slone, Tamara (Vincent) Wright and Tara Beal, as well as, several other beloved family members.
