Darrell Lee Mcclain

Darrell Lee McClain, age 33, of Bloomfield, Kentucky, formerly of Newark, passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 7, 2021 by the hand of another. He was born October 16, 1987 in Newark, Ohio.

Darrell was a graduate of Crystal River High School in Florida. He enjoyed boxing, music, bowling, video games, watching comedy movies, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Caroline Kay McClain; girlfriend and mother of his child, Sarah Woford; mother, Tammy K. (Hamrick) Torres and her boyfriend, Jeffrey Allen; sisters, LaVanna Parks (Jason Harshfield) of Louisville, Kentucky, Mia Torres of Ocala, Florida, and Jada McClain DeVault of Newark; brothers, Joseph McClain of Newark and Arthur McClain of Newark; maternal grandmother, June Hamrick of Newark; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur McClain.

A celebration of Darrell’s life will be held on his birthday, Saturday, October 16, and family and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.
