David A. "Dawg" Bowen

A funeral service celebrating the life of David A. Dawg Bowen, age 54, of Millersport, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, 285 East Main Street, with Pastor Casey Wilson officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.Dave was born June 6, 1959 in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late Terry and Marsha (Sicilian) Bowen. He passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Doctors Hospital in Columbus.Dave was a home inspector with 1st Inspection Services. Dave was an active participant of Rendezvous where he portrayed pre-1840s living history. He enjoyed leather work and making leather apparel. He always enjoyed family, friends, camping, riding motorcycles and grillin and chillin.He is survived by his wife, Mechelle Mickey (Poston) Bowen, whom he married June 16, 1993; and by a daughter, Amanda (David) Altman of Buckeye Lake; grandchildren, Caileigh and Cameron Altman; a brother, Daniel Bowen of Hebron; a sister, Denise (Joseph) Polen of Groveport; five nieces, one great-niece and one great-nephew; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Ruth Bowen and Gaston and Margaret Sicilian.Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to care for the Bowen family.
