David Alan Kirkendall

David Alan Kirkendall, age 64, of Newark, was born June 18, 1952 in Newark, Ohio to the late David Gerald Kirkendall and Eleanor (Crouse) Kirkendall Sippel. He passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.David was a graduate of Newark High School and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas where he was employed for 40 years. He was a member of Newark Lodge #97 F & AM, Newark and Heath Eagles and the Thornport Am-Vets. He enjoyed playing softball and pool, bowling and tinkering in the garage. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.He is survived by his wife, Diana L. (Faller) Kirkendall, whom he married September 28, 1998; son, David M. (Katie) Kirkendall; daughter, Daylynn Kirkendall; sister, Cathy (David) Galleher; step-sister, Michelle (Mike) Street; nieces, Erin Norris and Kelly Galleher; sister-in-law, Debbie Eisenbach (Donnie Scott); brother-in-law, Dale (Jenny) Faller; cousins, Mike Dilo, Wilbur Kirkendall and Dick Kirkendall; many friends; andhis beloved dogs, Twinkie, Gizmo and Ellie.A memorial service will be held at a later date.
