David Eugene Kochensparger

A visitation celebrating the life of David Eugene Kochensparger, 63, of Mt. Perry, will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main Street, Thornville. David was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 12, 1961 to the late David E. and Patricia Gail (Sexton) Kochensparger. He passed away at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus on April 16, 2024. David was a self-employed flooring contractor for many decades. He enjoyed collecting/driving classic cars, hunting, fishing, listening to music, dancing and attending the Mopar Nationals. Most important was the time he spent with his loving grandkids, family and friends. Survivors include his life partner of 38 years, Brenda Russell; two sons, Jessie S. (Kristina) Kochensparger and Dustin J. (Chelsey) Russell; brother, Tim L. (Kris) Kochensparger; sister, Carrie G. (Kenny) Kochensparger-Moss; grandchildren, Taylor, Aubrey, Lillian, Alayna, Landon and Liam; nieces and nephews, Vincent, Nilla, Tyler, Joshua, Sara, Krystal and Kristen; and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Annette DiNardo, Rick Kochensparger and Karla Zollinger. The Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for David and his family.
