David G. Edgar

David Granville Edgar, 86, of Buckeye Lake, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on Tuesday morning, May 21, 2024, in Newark, Ohio. He was born July 27, 1937, in Buffalo, New York, the son of the late Robert and Ruth (Moore) Edgar.

Dave was a jokester, always ready with a joke or a laugh and loved talking with people he met along the way.  His smile lit up any room, and he enjoyed making new friends wherever he was.

He worked as a musician and was always interested in making music.

He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Deborah Edgar, whom he married on February 14, 1982, his children Debbie, Sheila, Sheri, Dennis, Dan, Amy and Chrissy; his 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Honoring Dave's wishes, there will be no formal funeral services or visitation. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2669 Cherry Valley Rd, Newark, Ohio 43056. Please no flowers.
