David Allen Fowler

A funeral service celebrating the life of David Allen “Dave” Fowler, age 58, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, at Church of God God’s Acres with Brother Roger Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Jacksontown Cemetery where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, September 14, at God’s Acres, 675 North Cedar Street in Newark.

Dave was born July 29, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio. He passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at OSU Wexner Medical Center. Dave was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed with Andrews Logistics as a truck driver. Dave loved trucking, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Sue (Hayes) “Debbie” Fowler; mother, Anita Marie (Crossley) Fowler York (Jim) of Newark; children, Joey, J.J. Jimmy, Tiffany, Dawn and Penny (Scott); several grandchildren; brothers, Daniel Fowler and Samuel (Rachel) Fowler; sisters, Lorie (Casey) Jones, Jodi Fowler and Sharon (Ken) Decker; mother-in-law, Beverly Sheets; several aunts and uncles, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Thomas Fowler; and his father-in-law, Thomas Frederick Hayes, Sr.
