David Howard Park

David Howard Park, 66, of Newark, died Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born October 9, 1956, in Stuart, FL to the late Merle and Opal (Wickiser) Park. David was a proud U.S. Marine Veteran. He enjoyed camping, writing, reading, playing video games, deep sea fishing, working on cars, and eating, especially bloom’in onions. He was a football fan and rooted for the Colts and Dolphins. David took a lot of pride in helping everybody in anyway that he could. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Scott (Tina) Park and Deanna (Terrick Sesley) Ruiz; grandchildren, Jaylah, Kyssac, Solomon, Ateesha, Emmanuel, Tellicia, Ethan, and Samantha; great granddaughter, Ta'Liyah; sister, Barbara Dougherty; brother, Merle Park; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, William (Jonie) Park; and sisters, Patricia (Melvin) Haynes and Barb Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with cremation expenses at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville St., Newark, OH 43055.
