David Lee Flowers

Funeral services, celebrating the life of David Lee Flowers, 74, of Thornville, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018, in the Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Orrey McFarland as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Lutheran Reformed Cemetery.David passed peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2018, just after midnight, with his family at his side. He was born March 13, 1943, in Zanesville, the son of the late Dean and Mary (Harmon) Flowers. He was intelligent and successful in his work life, his job was always very important to him.He also loved working on and building cars, NASCAR, travel, racing with his grandson, boating with his granddaughters and spending time with his family. Most of all, David was known as a kind, caring and very loving person.He is survived by his loving family: wife Glenda, whom he married on October 16, 1965, his sons Matthew and Todd (Erin); grandchildren Nathan, Ava Grace and Marlowe Kate; his sister Janet (Paul) Coconis and brother Robert (Teresa) Flowers.The family will receive friends on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church, 65 E Columbus Street in Thornville.Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed to the American Lung Association.HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Thornville, is honored to care for David and his family.
