David Wheeler Moran

A funeral service celebrating the life of David Wheeler Moran, age 69, of Newark, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Steven Osborne officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

David was born October 8, 1949 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to the late Cary R. and Marilyn L. (Wheeler) Moran. He passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 22, 2019 at his home.

David retired from Big O Refuse. He was a former member of the Newark Eagles. David enjoyed bowling, NASCAR and stock car racing, drawing and family activities.

He is survived by his fiancée, Dianna Olinger; granddaughter, Evie L. Smith; brothers, Alan (Ruth) Moran, Mark Moran and Robert Moran, all of Newark; sister, Elaine Woods of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Wheeler Moran, Jr.; and three sisters, Lynn, Lucille and Lois; and brother, Les.
