David Rodney Cummings, age 83, of Glenford, passed away on April 20, 2017 at his residence while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Columbus on June 27, 1933 to the late Bryan and Margaret (Webb) Cummings. David proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement, he was a truck driver for Kroger for 23 years. David enjoyed working on tractors, woodworking and giving tractor rides, especially to his grandchildren. Most important was spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara J. (Bussey) Cummings, whom he married September 4, 1965; children, Sandra J. Cummings, Ellen M. Cummings and David B. Cummings; grandchildren, Samantha Bell, Nicole Cummings, Bethany (Zachary) Brandt, Aaron (Lindsey) Cummings, Bryce Pietila and Jace Teague; brother, Lawrence Cummings; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lenore Richards; brothers, Robert C. and Jerry C. Cummings.
