David Lee Tucker

A funeral service celebrating the life of David Lee Tucker, 68, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Swartz officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Friday, October 4th , from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. David was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 29, 1956 to the late Orland and Doris (Ault) Tucker. He passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on October 1, 2024. Prior to retirement, David was a truck driver for Mid-State Warehouses for many years. He was a member of the Newark Moose Lodge, Newark Eagles and Sons of the American Legion Post 85. He enjoyed drag racing, watching NASCAR and listening to music, but most important was the time he spent socializing with his family and friends. Survivors include his loving partner of 18 years, Barbara B. Little; children, Michael (Jeannine) Little, Mindy (Chad) Peck, and Wendy Rushing; sister, Martha Moeller Tucker; brother, Rickey Tucker; grandchildren, Samantha Beers, Jacob “Goober” (Kaitlin) Stafford, Brandon (Nathan) Stafford, Cameron (Rosie) Little and Gage (Rhea) Rushing; great grandchildren, Chloe, Evan and Sofie; nephew, Michael (Lynn) Tucker; great niece and nephew, Lauren Grace Tucker and Adam Michael Tucker; furry friends, Ooh Boo, Princess, Abby and Felix; and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Edward Tucker; nephews, Tyler and Timothy Tucker; and sister-in-law, Judy Tucker. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of David to the Licking County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
