David Edward Wray

David Edward Wray, 63, of Newark, passed away on March 26, 2024 at the Embassy of Newark. He was born in Newark, Ohio on November 16, 1960 to the late Charles Ernest and Louise (Simon) Wray. Prior to retirement, David worked in the landscaping business for many years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, rock collecting and campfire cooking. David was passionate about his music, writing songs, playing in several bands, playing the guitar, bass guitar and harmonica. He also enjoyed helping anyone in need, often providing vegetables he grew to others. Survivors include two sister, Sharon M. (Mike) Bishop and Connie M. (David) Stone; nephews, Mike Bishop, Mark (Brandy) Bishop, David (Brianna) Stone and Jason (Kristen) Stone; great nieces and great nephews, Austin, Brooklyn, Israel, Bella, Brandon, Brody, and Michelle; his loving cat, Ziggy; and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Wray. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of David to, Together We Grow, 777 E. Main Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
