Deborah Lynn Freese was called home to be with the Lord on June 12, 2024. She passed comfortably at home surrounded by her family. Debbie was a member of the Jersey Baptist Church of New Albany, Ohio. She was a faithful servant of the Lord who witnessed to others about Jesus Christ even in her final days.
Debbie was born in Columbus, Ohio and was raised and lived in Pataskala, Ohio with her loving husband of 32 years, Richard “Dick” Freese, Sr., who preceded her in death. Debbie worked at Grange Insurance in Coumbus, Ohio and then worked for many years at the Licking County Board of MR/DD and in a group home in Johnstown assisting people with developmental disabilities. She selflessly dedicated her life to helping others.
Debbie lived each day in service to the Lord. Her abiding Trust in the Lord, personal strength and keen sense of humor will be sadly missed but will serve as wonderful memories for those who were blessed to know her. She got such joy in living with her son and grandson Jaird at the end of her life and enjoyed attending church and bible studies with them as they took care of her every need through her extensive health struggles.
Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Alan Freese, and her parents William “Bill” and Vera Gosnell, also of Pataskala, Ohio. She is survived by her three brothers, Donald (Patricia) Biga of Florida, Ronald (Zinia) Biga of Upper Arlington/Costa Rica, and Christopher (Jill) Gosnell of Pataskala, Ohio. Debbie has two children Jarid Michael Jasper and Mindy Ann Jasper and one grandson Avery William Jasper. Her extended family includes numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special and close friends.
As Debbie was sharing her comfort of knowing that she would soon be with her Savior, she said her favorite Bible verse was: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”. II Timothy 4:7
Memorial contributions may be made in Debbie’s honor to Jersey Baptist Church, New Albany.
A celebration of her loving and faithful life will be held later.
HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for Debbie and her family.
