Delores Jean "Dee" Posey

A funeral service celebrating the life of Delores Jean Dee Posey, age 78, of Newark, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Wes Ellis officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.Dee was born September 18, 1937 in Dry Branch, West Virginia to the late William Clinton Eskins, Sr. and Vaughna Elizabeth Betty (Moore) Eskins. She passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.Dee was a licensed realtor and had also been employed with the Newark Healthcare Centre as a physical therapy assistant. She was a member of the Newark Brethren Church. Dee was an avid reader and loved to go out to lunch. Her family meant the world to her and she enjoyed spending time with them.She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James C. Posey, Sr., whom she married January 16, 1956; four children, Brenda Posey of Heath, Patricia Starkey of Newark, James (Lisa) Posey, Jr. of Heath and Dennis (Tracey) Posey of Newark; grandchildren, Courtney (AJ) Stanton of Thornville, Corinne Bates of Zanesville, Chasity (Said) NDulla of Columbus, Paul Starkey, Jr. of Newark, Aaron (Jessica) Posey of Heath and Tyler and Kaitlyn Posey of Newark; great-grandchildren, Paige Sims, Jordan Starkey and Shane Starkey, all of Newark, Eli Mwangi and Said NDulla, Jr., both of Columbus; and Jenna McManaway of Newark; sister, Sue Snedden of Buckeye Lake; brother, Bruce Eskins of Milford, PA; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Eskins; two sisters, Janet Leindecker and Barbara Drumm; and son-in-law, Paul Starkey, Sr.Special thanks to Hospice of Central Ohio for their care.Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to care for Dee and her family.
